CO GALWAY’S coastline and coastal sites are the inspiration and starting point for the programme for this year’s TULCA festival of visual art.
The curator for TULCA 2010 will be Michelle Browne. She is looking for works that respond to places such as the Spanish Arch, Nimmo’s Pier, South Park Beach, Silverstrand, Blackrock, Mutton Island, the Salthill Promenade. Proposals are sought for performance works but proposals in other media will also be considered.
Michelle is an artist and curator based in Dublin. She has exhibited in Ireland and across Europe and is the founder of OUT OF SITE, a festival of live art in public spaces in Dublin. She also works as a freelance educator with the Hugh Lane Gallery, The National Gallery, and the National College of Art and Design.
Proposals are accepted by email only to [email protected] (TULCA OPEN SUBMISSION ) must be put in the subject box. Emails must include a CV, proposal (no longer than 500 words ), and examples of pervious work (no more that 10 images ). Videos must be sent as links to Youtube or similar (no more than two ).
