THE ENDELLION String Quartet are so good that The Daily Telegraph has described them as being capable of “setting the audience ablaze”.
So bring a bucket of water and damp cloth to cool yourself with while watching the acclaimed British chamber group, when they play the Galway Arts Festival next week.
Endellion - Andrew Watkinson (violin ), Ralph de Souza (violin ), Garfield Jackson (viola ), and David Waterman (cello ) - will play St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Thursday July 22 at 8pm.
On the night they will perform Hayden’s String Quartet Op33 No1, Mozart’s String Quartet K 241, and Beethoven’s String Quartet Op 51 No1.
The group have won many awards including the Gramophone Award, Chamber Music Recording of the Year from The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian, and the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for Best Chamber Ensemble.
