THE WESTSIDE Arts Festival takes place from Friday July 23 to Sunday July 25 and promises an array of exciting workshops, performances, events, family fun.
There will be pre festival events from Monday with the opening of the art exhibitions on that day. On Tuesday there will be the History of Shantalla slide show and on Wednesday there will be an open mic event for storytellers and poets.
The festival officially begins on Friday 23 at 5.30pm with the official opening followed at 6.30pm by a talent show.
Saturday kicks off at 11am and will be a fun filled day with workshops on art and crafts, dancing, storytelling, and flower arranging. On Sunday 25 there will be more workshops and there will be a closing ceremony at 4pm.
The Westside Art Festival and its pre events will all take place in the Westside Library, Westside Resource Centre, Westside Community Centre, and the Neighbourhood Youth Project.
