County hurling swings back into action

The county senior hurling championship gets back into action this weekend. The county players will be pleased to have a game with their clubmates to help forget last Sunday’s disappointing encounter with Kilkenny.

Pulling the club jersey back over your head is always a nice feeling after a period of time with the county team and there should be some good games on offer this Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday in Group B, Tommy Larkins take on Turloughmore in Loughrea at 5.30pm and Tynagh-Abbey-Duniry face Gort in Athenry at 5.30pm

There is one game in Group C on Saturday with Liam Mellows and Ardrahan in action at 7pm in Loughrea. Also on Saturday in Group D, unbeaten Portumna will take on Killmordaly in Duggan Park at 7pm. In Athenry, Clarinbridge face Beagh.

In group A, on Sunday at 2pm, Athenry take on Kiltormer in Ballinasloe, while at the same time in Athenry, Loughrea and Craughwell will do battle.
