Those looking to purchase their first home but who are finding it difficult to secure the necessary finance should consider the Home Choice Loan Scheme.
This is the view of Independent Galway West TD Noel Grealish who is encouraged those finding it difficult to get a mortgage from the banks or other lending institutions to try the scheme.
The Home Choice Loan Scheme is available to individuals earning more than €35,000 or couples earning more than €40,000 and looking to purchase their first home.
The scheme is administered by four local authorities, one of which is the Galway County Council and provides an opportunity for people who wish to purchase their own home to secure the necessary finance up to a maximum of €285,000.
