This Sunday is National Play Day and it will be marked in Galway by a range of activities for children.
The main activities will take place in the recently opened Merlin Woods City Park off the Doughiska Road from 2pm to 4pm.
The focus is on fun and games with the opportunity for children to participate in rugby, basketball, soccer, and other sporting activities.
Pignut Productions will present it’s acclaimed puppet show Monsters and Things, and there will be face painting, a fire engine from the Galway Fire Brigade and boys and girls will get the chance to clamber all over the rig.
Bus Éireann is providing free bus travel for children within the city limits between 1.30pm and 4.30pm. The Route 409 to Doughiska serves the park
