Enjoy A Sunny Day In Glasgow @ Stress!!

A SUNNY Day In Glasgow are not Scottish, they are a Philadelphia based trio and they will perform their acclaimed mix of indie, pop, and techno at Stress!! in De Burgo’s this Tuesday at 10pm.

A Sunny Day in Glasgow started out as a collaboration between Ben Daniels and Ever Nalens. The band name came from Nalens, who had been living in Glasgow before returning to Philadelphia.

Daniels kept the name after Nalens left and was replaced by Daniels’ twin sisters, Robin and Lauren, to start singing on the songs they had been working on.

In March 2006 the band released The Sunniest Day Ever EP and enjoyed airplay on US college radio and a favourable review from Pitchfork magazine. The trio released their debut LP, Scribble Mural Comic Journal last year, which met with widespread critical acclaim. Pitchfork gave it eight out of 10, while Drowned in Sound called it a “contender for album of the year”.
