Jimmy Fitzgerald to launch new album at The Crane

GALWAY GUITARIST Jimmy Fitzgerald will launch his new album, Jimmy Fitz, in The Crane Bar on Wednesday at 9pm.

Jimmy, best known for his stints in The Little Fish, Maimin Cajun Band, The Screamin Bluecats, got a chance to record the album after Eric Clapton’s producer Jon Astley expressed an interest in working with the Galwegian on the strength of his demos.

The result is an album of 10 new songs that Jimmy describes as being “somewhere between a modern day Rolling Stones and World Party”.

Jimmy will be joined on the night by Barry Duffy (drums ), Bertrand Huve (saxophone ), and Ger Madden (piano and bass ).
