In an article in our June 3 edition entitled Talking Politics, false and damaging remarks were published regarding Mr Gerry Barrett which we unreservedly withdraw. We apologise sincerely to Mr Barrett, his family, and his 550 employees for the distress caused by these false and damaging remarks. The Galway Advertiser will make a charitable donation to the Poor Clares convent in Galway at the request of Mr Barrett.
