Julie Feeney to appear at AIDS West charity concert

JULIE FEENEY, the Athenry born, award winning, vocalist and composer, will be the special guest at a charity concert for AIDS West in Monroe’s Live.

Tuesday June 15 is national Irish AIDS Day and to raise awareness about HIV and the importance of sexual health AIDS West will be hosting two major events.

A Brave Stand: The History of AIDS West by Maria Joyce will be launched in the Galway City Museum at 1pm by Labour party president Michael D Higgins.

At 9pm, the Black Magic Big Band will perform a special fundraising gig in Monroe’s Live, Dominick Street, at which Julie Feeney will make a special guest appearance. The show will raise funds to support those living with HIV and towards delivering educational programmes on sexual health in the west of Ireland.
