Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway win excellence awards

Always a pleasure to receive, awards are even more welcome when they are voted on by the most important people – the guests and visitors who eat, drink and stay in any hotel. Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway, no stranger to awards of all kinds since opening in 2001, is delighted to have recently won two great awards as voted for by VIPs – their guests – a Studiosus Quality Award 2009 & a CIE Award of Excellence 2009.

Held annually by CIE Tours International, the Awards of Excellence are now in their 19th year of recognising excellence in all areas of tourism. The winners of CIE Awards of Excellence 2009 are chosen from an independent evaluation of questionnaires completed by CIE Tours International Coach Tours customers. One of the largest tour operators in Ireland, CIE Tours International bring in excess of 50,000 guests into the country on an annual basis. Every year, they survey all their clients, asking them to vote on the best experience they had while on their Irish vacation, under a range of different headings.

A firm favourite with CIE Tours guests, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway’s Special Merit CIE Award of Excellence is given on the basis of responses to the hotel’s accommodation, breakfast, dinner, service, facilities and the overall impression given.

Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway has also been recognised as one of the world’s best hotels by the Studiosus Quality Awards 2009. With an outstanding level of customer satisfaction, the hotel is voted a favourite by clients of Studiosus, Germany’s leading tour operator that offers outbound guided tours to many countries worldwide, in partnership with over 1,800 different hotels.

Studiosus Awards are presented to those establishments that exceed the requirements and expectations of Studiosus clients. Using a similar format to that of the CIE Awards of Excellence, the Studiosus Awards are based on polls taken among clients by the Munich-based tour operator, which in the Radisson Blu Galway’s case, represents an overall satisfaction rating of at least 95 per cent.

“Awards are always welcome,” says Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Galway General manager Stephen Hanley. “The fact that both of these awards have been won on the basis of our guests’ feedback means a lot to all of us at the hotel, as it is a very real acknowledgement of every single player on the Radisson Galway team.

“We are very proud of our awards collection to date, but these, voted by the most important people, our guests, will always take pride of place!”
