Would you like to help set a new Guinness World Record? In an attempt to break the Guinness World Record and build awareness about the vital importance of learning how to swim, Galway’s award winning health and fitness club The Kingfisher, RTE's The Afternoon Show, and the nation’s leading water safety organisations are joining forces to present Ireland’s largest swimming lesson.
Ireland’s largest swimming lesson will take place in the Kingfisher Club, Renmore, on Friday May 21 between 2pm and 6pm. The event will cater for all swim abilities from beginners to advanced with bubble blowing, back floating, and flutter kicking fun!
“We are thrilled to be working with Ireland’s largest swimming lesson event to help spread the word that swimming lessons save lives,” said Joe Cosgrove, managing director of the Kingfisher Club. “World record results are guaranteed, so this is a chance for people to be part of 2010's biggest event in Galway.”
The Kingfisher Club is renowned for its professional approach to swimming lessons. The club provides separate children's pools and health suites which include a sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi. Private or group swimming lessons are available for both adults and children. Aqua fit classes are held for non-swimmers and sports specific people each week.
The Kingfisher Club offers top standards of teaching. All swimming teachers at the centre are fully qualified and are dedicated to passing on swimming skills to their classes that will encourage a lifetime love of the water.
Everyone welcome for family day out
During the event The Kingfisher Club will provide entertainment for all the family, including bouncy castles, slides, face painting, and balloon making for children, as well as refreshments and music for people of all ages to relax and enjoy the party atmosphere.
Places are limited to 50 participants per event, so early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment. Participants in the world record attempt must be over the age of 16.
