Indiana choir to sing for AIDS West

The University of Southern Indiana Chamber Choir and the Rowan Tree Irish Traditional Band will perform a free concert at St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Saturday May 15 at 8pm.

Under the direction of Daniel Craig, the choir will sing sacred and secular pieces and will include music by Monteverdi, Sweelinck, Berkey, and Irish traditional songs. The event is in aid of AIDS West.

Established in 1996, the USI Chamber Choir has performed in cathedrals and castles in Poland, Germany and Ireland over the past 20 years. This concert will be the choir’s third appearance in Galway city. They are also performing at St Patrick’s Church, Cork; Lisdoonvarna and at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin.
