MAY 18 marks the 30th anniversary of the suicide of Ian Curtis, the lead singer of the seminal cult band Joy Division.
To mark Curtis’ tragic passing and to celebrate the extraordinary, powerful, cathartic, atmospheric, and influential music of Joy Division, Raidió na Gaeltachta’s An Taobh Tuathail, will devote an evening to the band on Tuesday from 11pm.
Ever since discovering their music in the summer of 1991, An Taobh Tuathail presenter Cian Ó Cíobháin has been infatuated with their work.
