Ford Ireland has announced exciting new additions to its line-up of Ka models this summer, all of which are eligible for the scrappage scheme.
From this month the range will offer more choice for buyers looking to avail of the Government incentive.
The new Ka Studio, for example, comes with Ford’s intelligent protection system with driver and passenger airbags, ABS, 6-speaker radio CD, MP3 connectivity, cigar lighter and rear headrests. It is available at a scrappage offer price of €7,995.
“We’re looking to the Ka Studio to be a hot model with the scrappage customer this summer,” says Eddie Murphy, chairman and managing director of Ford Ireland. “For the buyer who is looking for a low price but wants lots of fun and style at the same time, this model really presses the right buttons.”
The new Ka Edge comes with air conditioning, remote locking, electric windows, power heated door mirrors and body-colour exterior.
All Ka models are available with 1.2 70PS petrol and 1.3 75PS TDCi diesel engines, which are both A-rated and incur yearly road tax of just €104.
High-spec Zetec and Titanium models round off the expanded range. The former features 15” alloys, front fogs, heated windscreen, leather steering wheel and privacy glass, with the Titanium offering climate control, 16” alloys, chrome door handles and exhaust, scuff plates and enhanced sound system.
Options on Ka include side and roof airbags, Ford’s electronic stability programme with hill launch assist, heated seats and rear parking sensors.
“Big car features in a small car body … and at a small car price. These are the characteristics of the Ka range,” continues Eddie Murphy. “The Ford brand has been a real winner in the scrappage stakes, and with our improvements to the Ka programme we mean to keep this going.”
