Galway’s first craft beer festival will take place this May Bank Holiday weekend. The Brewers on the Bay Festival will bring craft brewers from microbreweries all over Ireland to Salthill for the first event of its kind in the west.
The Oslo will host the festival over two days on May 1 and 2, kicking off at 3pm daily. Admission is free and you can try beers from microbreweries including Galway’s own Galway Hooker and the Oslo microbrewery.
It’s the perfect opportunity to meet craft brewers, mix with other beer lovers, and find out about the process and passion behind making beer. The Oslo is home to Bay Brewery, producing its own ale and lager on the premises. You can see first hand how the beer is brewed in the Oslo and tours will be given on the day. You can also take home a home brew kit to make your own personalised beer.
Don’t miss the chance to take home a Belfast Blonde, a Headless Dog, or your very own Galway Hooker, or grab a home brew kit to make your own beer. Fun, froth, and friendly faces await you in Salthill this May Bank Holiday so gather your friends and head to The Oslo to indulge in the top quality taste, aroma, and pride found only in craft brewing.
Breweries travelling to Galway for the festival include Porter House and Messrs Maguire, Carlow Brewery, White Gypsy, Trouble Brewing Company, Dungarvan Brewing Company, and Hilden Brewery, Ireland’s oldest independent brewing company.
