The number of diagnosed food allergies in this country is continuing to grow. Whether you are being told to stay off gluten, wheat, dairy, or eggs, the world of restrictive diets can be a confusing one.
For the next two weeks, Evergreen Healthfoods will attempt to demystify the world of specialist foods with some cookery demonstrations across its five stores.
As part of an allergy awareness promotion, Evergreen is bringing back cook Anna O’Donnell to tempt your tastebuds and get you excited about cooking with specialised grains, foodstuffs, and the more interesting allergy free ingredients found only in health stores.
The cookery demonstrations will take place over two weeks, Thursdays to Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm each day, covering each of the five Evergreen stores over the six days. Starting today (Thursday ) Anna is in Evergreen Barna from 1pm to 5pm, in Moycullen tomorrow, and then the Galway Shopping Centre on Saturday.
Next week, Anna will return and will be in Evergreen Westside from 1pm to 5pm on Thursday, the Galway Shopping Centre on Friday, and then finishing up in Evergreen Mainguard Street on Saturday.
