Amnesty table quiz

Amnesty International Galway will hold a table quiz to raise money for its anti-death penalty campaign in The Skeff Bar, Eyre Square, on Sunday April 25 at 8pm.

Amnesty International Ireland relaunched its death penalty network at its annual conference in Dublin at the end of March.

“For years now the number of death penalty states has been steadily shrinking as more and more countries abandon this form of punishment,” said Colm O’Gorman. “Sadly some of those countries that do retain it, like China, Iran and Iraq, are increasing their rate of execution and in many cases using it to silence political dissent.”

Tickets for the table quiz are €10/7 and available on the night or from the Amnesty International shop, 2-3 Middle Street. To get involved in helping people on death row email [email protected]
