Fans of trad music and those who want to learn how to sing and dance in the sean nós style will be making their way to Renvyle this weekend.
The events take place in The Renvyle House Hotel, and kick off tomorrow with a concert from folk singer-songwriter Don Stiff and friends, along with performances by sean nós dancers.
On Saturday there will be all day music sessions with Mattie Joe Sheamuis O’Flaherta, Johnny Connolly, Liz Kane, The Devanney Family sean nós dancers, Ronan Canavan, Marie Walsh, Eileen O’Malley, and many more
There will be an all day workshops in sean nós singing and dancing with Nan Tom Taimin and Emma O’Sullivan, of the All Ireland Talent Show, followed by a Saturday night ceili with PJ and Marcus Hernan.
On Sunday there will be set dancing workshops with Ger Butler followed by the ‘farewell session’ with John O’Halloran and Emma O’Sullivan, The Reel Mix dance troupe, and champion sean nos singer Johnny Martin Learrai MacDonnacha. There will also be performances by local school children.
