The Western Veteran and Vintage Motor Club Galway is embarking on a major new charity event - a display of vintage and classic cars, tractors, and motorcycles this Saturday at Claregalway Corporate Park.
In addition there will also be an ‘autojumble’, a sale of second hand and rare spare parts for cars and tractors, as well as stalls selling memorabilia, books, old photos, maps, tools, DVDs, cakes, arts, and crafts. There will also be an auction of classic cars, tractors, and items of interest.
The WVVMCG will donate all proceeds to local charities. Since 2005 the club has disbursed more than €75,000 to charity, including Cancer Care West, Tuam Cancer Care, Abalta School project for autistic children, Share-a-Dream Foundation, St Vincent de Paul, Galway SPCA, Grá Parents Support Group, Rape Crisis Galway, and Flood Relief (Gort ).
Admission is €5 but children can go free. There will be free visitor parking opposite the venue. Gates open from 10.30am to 5pm. For more information see www.wvvmc.com or contact Tom Spellman on 085 - 1542099.
