A Polish man charged with a serious assault was further remanded in custody when he appeared before Galway District Court this week.
Mariusz Gora (32 ), 242 Tirellan Heights, Headford Road, Galway, is charged with assaulting Marcis Lauva, at the same address, causing him harm on July 14 last. He is further charged with producing a knife during the course of a dispute on the same date.
The accused has been in custody since his arrest last week and his solicitor, Adrian MacLynn, said there was no application for bail just yet.
On the application of Inspector Sean Glynn, Judge Mary Fahy further remanded the accused custody to appear before Harristown District Court this Friday, July 25.
