Ceannt development and Eyre Square case to be discussed by Galway City Council on Monday

The proposed re-development of Ceannt Station and Galway Harbour and the recent Supreme Court decision on Eyre Square are the main items on the agenda at Monday’s city council meeting.

The meeting will take place in City Hall at 4pm and will involve councillors agreeing on recommendations from the procedures committee, as well as dates for other council meetings.

However the most important items on the agenda will be a presentation by CIE and the Galway Harbour Company on proposed re-development of the Ceannt Station and Galway Harbour areas; and the distribution to councillors of a copy of the Supreme Court decision, delivered on March 25 in the Galway City Council v Samuel Kingston Construction Ltd and Geoffrey F Hawker case.
