Car2Cash Roadshow returns to Galway

The popular Merlin Car 2Cash roadshow returns to Galway this weekend, giving car owners a real opportunity to sell their vehicles.

Merlin Car2Cash was introduced in April 2009 and already more than 1,000 people have exchanged their cars for €5 million in cash.

This weekend Galwegians can avail of the chance to sell theirs car without any hassle when the roadshow visits the Galway Shopping Centre, Headford Road, on n Saturday April 10 from 9.30am to 6pm and Sunday April 11 from 12 noon to 6.00pm.

A spokesman for Merlin says it is simple. “All car owners have to do is bring their cars along on the day, together with the vehicle licensing certificate and two forms of personal identification (either a passport or driver’s license and a recent utility bill with your current address ).”

All vehicles are accepted, and the sales executives will complete a vehicle appraisal and the owner will be required to provide details of the vehicle history. On acceptance of the valuation, a sales order will be processed and Merlin will issue a cheque for the value of the vehicle, followed by the transfer of ownership of the vehicle to Merlin Car Auctions.

The spokesman says it is a “tried and trusted” way to get cash for car, and its success at Merlin’s outlets in Dublin prompted the nationwide roadshow.

“Merlin Car Auctions has launched a national roadshow, visiting 30 cities including Limerick, Sligo, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford and Athlone offering car owners the opportunity to sell their cars for cash.”

Motorist Colm Dempsey agrees: “I had been trying to sell my car online for months. I saw that Car2Cash was coming to Dublin and brought my 2005 Alfa Romeo 147 along to see how much I could get for it. Within half an hour I had a cheque in my pocket and was delighted with the price I got and the speed of the service.”
