Give up your aul’ eggs for JCI

JCI Galway is delighted to announce its annual Easter Egg Event will once again take place on Easter Sunday April 4. This annual event is one of the highlights of JCI and the children of Galway’s calendar! The event involves local children bringing their “extra” Easter Eggs to Masses at Barna, Claregalway, Knocknacarra, Mervue and Renmore. These eggs will then be collected by volunteers from JCI Galway and given to the childrens’ ward at NUIG and local worthwhile charities including COPE Galway and St. Vincent de Paul.

JCI Galway would likely to acknowledge this year’s main sponsor – Supermacs which have offered tremendous towards the “Sharing is Caring Event.”

If you would like to donate your little Easter egg, simply bring it along to the following churches Barna, Claregalway, Knocknacarra, Mervue and Renmore. A JCI volunteer will be there to collect the Easter Eggs at the 9.30am special children’s Easter Mass Knocknacarra, the 10.00am Mass at Barna, the 11.00am Mass at Claregalway, the 12.00pm mass at Renmore and the 12:30pm Mass in the Holy Family Church. The JCI volunteers will then bring the eggs to the charity collection points.

The Easter egg project has gone from strength to strength over the years so many children love to get involved both by donating their Easter egg and of course those who receive the eggs.

The project could not be undertaken without the support of the generous children whom donate their Easter eggs. JCI Galway would once again like to thank Supermac’s for the sponsorship in making this year’s event so successful.
