Galway Africans to re-enact Christ’s passion on the city streets

One of Galway’s leading African churches, the Faith Christian Fellowship, will re-enact Christ’s passion on the streets of Galway on Good Friday.

The re-enactment will begin in Eyre Square at 1pm and will proceed through the streets towards Bohermore and the FCF’s church, The Faith Arena, at 4B, Lisbon Estate, Tuam Road. The part of Jesus will be played by Binaya Rimal.

At the church the host will be Pastor Larry Ovie and the guest speaker will be Rev Patrick Towers, the former rector of St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church.

“All are welcome to join in,” said Pastor Ovie, “as we will use the opportunity to pray for Galway and the world, for peace and a quick recovery from the economic downturn.”
