FIVE SILHOUETTES, their backlit bodies moving frenetically in front of the monstrous LED lighting rigs, the flashing lights synchronised to every little change in the music.
This is what Galway can expect to see, hear, and experience when German metallers The Ocean play the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday April 6 at 7.30pm.
Rock Sound has described The Ocean as “one of the most exciting names in modern heavy music. Behold mind-blowing metal on a Wagnerian scale”. Indeed the videos, lighting, and music - orchestral, dense, and epic - all contribute to create an atmosphere that sets these Germans apart from their peers.
Support on the night comes from Galway band Neifenbach, who launch their debut EP Reason Will Falter at the show. Neifenbach play a menacing blend of metal and hardcore, and feature members of Only Fumes and Corpses, Fulcrum, and Rites.
Also playing on the night are Trenches, Five Will Die, and Fubar (Galway ). Admission is €12.
