Éamon Ó Cuív, in one of his final acts as Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, has sanctioned money for works at Annaghdown Pier.
A total of €14,000 has been allocated for work at the pier. The grant has been welcomed by Fianna Fáil councillor Mary Hoade who worked with a local committee to secure the funds.
Meanwhile the Headford Ecocampus has received €10,000 under the Community Based Economic Development Scheme. Cllr Hoade, a member of the Ecocampus committee, has welcomed the allocation and thanked the Galway County Council for the grant to support predevelopment work for the Enterprise Centre.
