Galway badminton players achieved a double for the Galway Lawn Tennis Club, taking both mens and ladies’ division one titles at the recent county championships.
Both finals were all-Galway affairs with Damien Hehir overcoming clubmate Bryan Lalor in the men’s division one final, while Emer Lalor was the victor in her final with Helen Sheehan.
The finals took place on Sunday at Galway Lawn Tennis Club - the culmination of nearly 300 games involving 500 players in six divsiions.
NUIG pair Fintan Keown and Joanne Flanagan were the division one mixed winners, while playes from Claregalway, Cortoon, Loughrea, and Furbo claimed titles.
