The county minor final which throws in at 1.30 on Sunday brings together old rivals Killanin and Corofin. It should be a humdinger of a game and well worth the effort of getting to the stadium early.
Killanin will look to inspirational full-forward Patrick Sweeney to lead the way. The county minor player notched 2-12 out of 2-15 in the county semi-final against Oughterard, and if he is stopped, it will be interesting to see who else provides the fire-power for the Westboard champions, especially as his twin Cathal Sweeney is doubtful with injury.
Corofin will look to the likes of team captain Eoin Higgins, Ronan Steede, Kieran Cunningham, and Colm O’Donovan to try to get back to the winning rostrum at this level.
However, Killanin are a tough outfit, and they have had the upper hand at u-16 level in the past few seasons which may swing the contest their way.
