AN ARTIST’S talk, a ‘make your own instrument’ event, and the last week of an exhibition are all happening today in the Galway Arts Centre on Dominick Street.
Artist Ann Maria Healy will speak about her practice and recent projects, including her four month residency in the Galway Arts Centre, today at 2pm.
Knee-Jerk will present a Make Your Own instrument & Jamming Session from 6pm to 8.30pm this evening. The event is one of a series of ‘happenings’ where participants are obliged to create their own instruments from the random detritus provided by the Galway based Knee-Jerk artists collective.
This is also the last week of Ailbhe Ní Bhriain’s exhibition. The centre’s next exhibition, Unnatural Esoteric by Louise Manifold opens on March 5 at 6pm.
