Calasanctius College and the Department of Education must reach an agreement to facilitate 23 children who have been refused a place at the school for the 2010/2011 year.
This is the view of Independent Galway West TD Noel Grealish who has raised the matter with the Taoiseach’s officials and has held a meeting on the matter with the Minister for Education Batt O’Keeffe.
“The only solution to this problem,” he said, “is for the Department to sanction funding under the Devolved Grant Scheme to allow the school to proceed with its building programme.”
