Ken Bruen to read at Over The Edge

THE INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed and award winning Galway crime writer Ken Bruen will be reading from his work at the next Over The Edge: Open Reading.

The reading takes place in the Galway City Library, St Augustine Street, on Thursday February 25 at 6pm.

Ken Bruen was born in Galway in 1951 and spent 25 years as an English teacher in Africa, Japan, Asia, and South America but now lives in Galway with his wife and daughter. He is the author the highly acclaimed Jack Taylor novels, set in Galway, the first of which was The Guards (2001 ). A film version of Ken’s novel, London Boulevard, starring Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley will be released later this year.

Also reading on the night are Germany’s Peter Godaniburg who writes weird or surreal short stories and Elizabeth Reapy, the founder and editor of Wordlegs online magazine.

There will be an open-mic when the featured readers have finished. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars.
