New employment studies course for lone parents

Galway City Partnership in collaboration with Blueprint Coaching and Training has developed a new part-time morning course titled Employment Studies Course commencing on March 10. This course is aimed at lone parents and is ideally suited to individuals who began a third level course but were unable to complete it due to family commitments and are now considering further studies, getting back into the workplace, or self employment. Blueprint Coaching and Training provides an extensive range of programmes and services to enhance personal development in the areas of career, motivation, life, and business development.

“This course is tailor made for individuals who need to overcome obstacles so as to look positively to the future, and to provide motivation and confidence to make a plan for the future,” said Evelyn Cormican of Blueprint Coaching and Training.

This course also highlights the many opportunities for further training and education in Galway city. Galway City Partnership is committed to working with the unemployed, the disadvantaged, and to combat social exclusion.

“In the past year we have experienced a significant increase in the demand for courses, including the Start Your Own Business courses run by Galway City Partnership, and we are delighted to be able to offer this new course for the first time to give opportunity to lone parents,” said Charlie Currie from Galway City Partnership. This course will include effective communication skills, information skills, and building self confidence.
