Clifden Community College takes step towards securing a new buildings

The Clifden Community College took a major step forward in securing a new building as it was approved to proceed to the next development stage by Education Minister Batt O’Keeffe.

The college project has been given permission to proceed to Stage 2B of the development stage. This allows for detailed design, planning permission sought, a fire cert, and disability access.

The news has been welcomed by Fianna Fáil Galway West TD Frank Fahey, who along with former county councillor Josie Conneely, have lobbied the Minister on this project.

“This is a major step forward in securing a new building for the college,” said Dep Fahey. “I look forward to progressing the matter further with Minister O’Keeffe to ensure a new school building is constructed as soon as possible.”
