The new GPO nightclub in partnership with GOAL have organised two charity event nights in the next week in aid of the charity's work in Haiti.
The first of these nights will run this Saturday Jan 23, while the second one, scheduled for Thursday Jan 28, is a themed ‘999’ party where patrons can all dress up as doctors, nurses, firemen and police officers to have a great night and raise money for a very important cause.
There will be a DJ on the night with special drink promotions and a €3 drinks menu. The new GPO is opening its doors from 11pm and all proceeds will go to GOAL's work.
Ronan Scully from GOAL encouraged people to go along and support the task that GOAL face in Haiti.
“Every little bit that people can give will help, this has been the biggest catastrophe that GOAL has faced in the last 30 years. By going to the new GPO on Saturday and Thursday night you will be raising much needed funds for this devastated community,” he said.
Trina Geasley marketing director for the new GPO said that these events are for the people of Haiti.
“ We want people to understand that we are in a global community and in times of need we all need to offer our assistance, we would also like to encourage other service industries in Galway City to support us in our efforts to raise as much funds as possible for this worthy cause,” she said.
