The seventh annual Mayor’s Awards for Galway city will be presented at a ceremony in the Black Box Theatre on Tuesday night.
The awards acknowledge volunteers and volunteer organisations who have made a significant impact on the quality of their communities in Galway city over the last year. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on Galway Bay FM from 8pm.
The 75 nominees will be presented with certificates by the Mayor Declan McDonnell before each of the individual category winners is revealed. The winners will each receive a Galway Crystal trophy and a cheque for €700. The Galway City Credit Unions’ Volunteer of the Year will be the final award announced on the night.
