THE ACTING For Screen workshop with actor, agent, and lecturer Shane Munro, returns to Galway next month.
This course, for those interested in performing on film or TV, will run from 7pm to 11pm in the Harbour Hotel from Tuesday February 2 to Thursday 4.
It is open to beginners as well as experienced members of a local drama group. Participants must be 17 or older (over 40s are especially welcome ). The course will teach participants the process an actor undergoes throughout the production cycle, including getting the job, preparing for the job, and doing the job.
People who have done this course previously have gone on to secure lead roles in numerous commercials, films, and TV dramas including recently screened Belonging To Laura, the Canadian/Irish Feature film A Shine Of Rainbows (starring Aidan Quinn ), and TV film Wild Decembers.
