ARTISTS AND theatre-practitioners who want to explore what text can do in a performance context should check out a new class which begins next week.
Text in Action with Claire-Louise Bennett takes place at the Galway Arts Centre on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, starting January 19.
The objective is to take a new look at how text is defined within artistic practice and what its function is. It will approach text as an event, look at specific techniques including found texts, constellations, repetition, listing, fragmentation, hybridization, and chance.
