Jennifer Batten, the guitarist for Michael Jackson during his Bad, Dangerous and HIStory world tours is coming to play a show in Galway next month.
One of the worlds most respected rock guitarists and possibly the world’s most prominent female guitar player, Ms Batten will play Campbell’s Tavern, Cloughanover, on Friday February 12. On the night she will present a multi-media show, which is part of her current Irish and British tour.
Ms Batten has released three solo albums - Above Below and Beyond (1992 ), Momentum (1997 ), Whatever (2008 ) - and has also toured and recorded with legendary British guitarist Jeff Beck. She has created a brand of guitar string dampers called the Batten String Damper and has authored two music books. She also has her own signature guitar, the Washburn JB-100 Jennifer Batten Signature Series.
