Galway Airport is to receive €344,619 under the Regional Airports Subvention fund, it was announced this week.
The Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Éamon Ó Cuív has welcomed the news.
He said: “Galway Airport had sought over €900,000 in operational funding for 2009 and had been previously provided with €617,381 by Government for this year.”
The airport is going from strength to strength and continues to provide regualr services to Dublin and to a host of destinations across the UK such as Manchester, Luton and Edinburgh.
