THE BRILLIANT ConTempo will perform a series of Christmas concerts from Tuesday December 8 to Wednesday 16, at a variety of venues in Galway.
The concerts kick off on Tuesday 8 with a lunchtime show at 1.10pm at the Galway City Library, St Augustine Street. ConTempo will be joined by the Súnus Chamber Choir, under the direction of Audrey Corbett, and will perform ‘Nodlaig’, ‘He Smiles Within His Cradle’, the first movement of Pergolessi’s ‘Magnificat’, and other seasonal favourites.
ConTempo perform seasonal music by Mozart, Strauss, Bach, and Corelli in The Kenny Gallery, Liosbán Retail Park, Tuam Road, on Thursday 10 at 1pm; at NUI Galway’s Martin Ryan Institute on Friday 11 at 1pm; at the Galway University Hospital Chapel on Sunday 13 at 3pm; at the Oranmore Library, Old Church, Main Street, on Wednesday 16 at 7.30pm.
