Walsh Waste awarded International quality standard

Walsh Waste recently celebrated its achievement in gaining certification to the International Standard ISO 9001:2008.

The certification rewards what the organisation does to fulfill the customer's quality requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives.

Managing Director of Walsh Waste, Gerard Walsh commented that in the current times, it is of the utmost importance that it provide its customers with the highest quality service possible.

“By being registered through the ISO process allows us to achieve this thorough an internationally recognised process. Ultimate customer satisfaction is the main objective of ISO 9001:2008 certification.”

ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognised standard from 146 countries in partnership with

International organisations, governments, industry, business and consumer representatives. ISO

9001:2008 sets the standard for quality management systems, ensuring that customer satisfaction is emphasized and maintained.

Walsh Waste is a private family owned company established in 1972. It employs 40 people and their mission is to provide a professional, affordable, and personal waste collection and recycling service to all their customers suitable to their needs.

They offer waste collection and recycling services in the Galway City and County area to the domestic, commercial, industrial and building sectors. It is one of the longest established and most experienced waste companies in Ireland.

In the 37 years since it was founded, Galway-based Walsh Waste has undergone significant expansion. The company focuses primarily on the business market with many blue chip clients using its services Hewlett-Packard, the Radisson Hotel, the Galway Clinic, Thermo King, and Contech Medical are among its most prominent clients.
