Thursday December 10 is International Human Rights Day and The Galway One World Centre is holding a number of events and workshops to celebrate the occasion.
The day is an annual event commemorating the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the focus for this year is on equality and non-discrimination.
The Galway One World Centre will hold taster workshops on December 10 for schools and community groups interested in exploring issues of racism, development, and global justice, as well as a longer workshop from 6pm to 9pm for adults.s
“The fight against discrimination remains a daily struggle for millions around the globe,” said Trisha Buddin, education administrator at the One World Centre. “Yet every one of us can make a difference. Teachers, youth leaders, community activists, and interested individuals are invited to book a free ‘global justice’ workshop at the Galway One World Centre.”
