A local company launched its internationally accredited Basic Cleanroon Technology Training Programme at the Clayton Hotel recently.
Specialised Sterile Environments (SSE ), which is located at Mervue Business Park, launched its “Contamination Control Practices with the Cleanroom Environment” which has been approved by the FAS/EI national register of trainers and is currently funded under the FAS Competency Development Programme.
Managing director Mary O’Connell welcomed representatives from the medical devices, electronics, pharmaceutical, and hospital sectors. Members from IBEC, SQT were all present to hear details of this unique programme designed by Dr Kevina O’Donoghue, microbiologist with SSE.
“The entire area of contamination control and GMP are essential components and integral elements of any business which requires cleanroom environments to manufacture product,” said Dr O’Donoghue. “Personnel performing tasks within these environments should be equipped with the relevant training, skills, awareness and knowledge to effectively address and prevent issues which may arise within these environments.”
Mary O’Connell outlined the importance of SSE “continuing to be proactive and progressive” in terms of supplying a service to customers. She said it was important to ensure it is to the forefront in terms of knowledge and experience in the cleanroom environment.
“ This programme is relevant to all areas of the business and attendees include management, operations, quality, laboratory, engineering, purchasing, warehouse, maintenance, cleaning and construction personnel.”
The next course dates are November 26 in Dublin and November 30 in Galway.
