Swap ‘til you drop for charity

Have you a closet full of clothes but cannot ever seem to find anything to wear? If so, think twice before you spend your hard earned cash splashing out on more items.

Instead consider going along to a clothes swap evening in Kilcornan on Thursday December 3 at 7pm. You can exchange your unwanted clothes and accessories at the event which takes place at Kilcuan Respite House for Children with Special Needs in Kilcornan, Clarinbridge.

“This is a brilliant opportunity to declutter your wardrobe,” say the organisers. “The Irish Pilgrimage Trust operate Kilcuan as a purpose built holiday home which caters for children and young adults giving vital respite to them and their families. This superb facility of the IHCPT relies on the generosity of people and their donations.

“All you have to do is sort through your unwanted clothes and either drop them off on Wednesday December 2 (1.30pm - 4pm ) or on Thursday December 3 from 4pm onwards. Any reasonably fashionable and wearable items of clothing, footwear or costume jewellery can be swapped. Unfortunately we cannot accept lingerie, earrings, sportswear or household goods.”

Admission is €8. For further information call Breda on (086 ) 3966079.
