The IT Association of Galway (ITAG ) in association with IBM is holding a breakfast event in the Clayton Hotel to discuss the evolving role of the IT manager.
Being an IT manager is about so much more than simply IT provision. In an effort to become even more strategic and focused on desired business outcomes IT managers have had to adapt their approach and enhance their lines of communication and collaboration with other business leaders.
So how and why has the role of the IT manager changed, and are you making the most of your own potential as a senior IT decision-maker? Join us and your peers for a breakfast meeting in the Clayton Hotel on Thursday November 26 from 8.30am – 11.30am to find out more.
Be among the first to hear key findings from The 2009 IBM Global CIO Study, which involved face-to-face conversations with more than 2,500 CIOs (12 in Ireland, 120 in the UK ) from some 15 industries, the research illuminates just these issues.
IBM business consulting services partner, Kevin Jarrett will introduce the study’s findings, providing a unique insight into how CIOs and other senior IT decision-makers operate in today's environment, and how they are shaping their plans for the future.
Mr Jarrett will be joined by consultant Tim Cook from executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates, for a discussion on what CEOs expect from their CIO.
