Dolans to sell 300 works of art this weekend

Dolan’s art auctions has a very interesting auction of almost 300 works of art this Sunday November 22, in the Marriott Hotel.

This is a unique art auction, and for the first time, Dolans will conduct the sale entirely without reserves. Many well-known established artists feature in the auction, alongside a host of Galway artists, who are making their mark in the art world, including an interesting collection of paintings of Galway city.

Based in Woodquay, Dolan’s art auction house is one of Ireland’s premier art auction houses. Dolans now operates in Galway, Limerick, and Cork, and the twice yearly Galway auctions have become increasingly popular.

Dr Niall Dolan says he is delighted with the broad range and quality of paintings on offer and is pleased that so many of the works of art are available at affordable prices. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone to start their own art collection. With almost 300 paintings on offer, and no reserve or asking prices, all the pictures will be sold on the night.

With such a broad range of contemporary art, with artists from as far afield as America, Canada, South Africa and the Ukraine, the sale will provide a great night’s entertainment this coming Sunday, and a wonderful opportunity to introduce family and friends to the world of art.

Dolans has produced an outstanding full colour art catalogue, which is available free of charge. The auction will take place at 4.30pm in the Marriott Hotel on Sunday, with viewing of the entire collection starting tomorrow at 2pm. Viewing continues through Saturday and Sunday, right up to auction time on Sunday. There is late night viewing on Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.
