THE HUMAN Voice, a poetic, surreal, yet gut wrenching examination of an abandoned love, by the French playwright and film maker Jean Cocteau, will be performed in Galway next week.
Theatrecorp will stage The Human Voice in the Nuns Island Theatre from Thursday November 26 to Sunday 29 at 8pm. It is directed by Max Hafler and stars Ionia Ní Chroinin.
Set in the dark time directly after she has been abandoned, a woman is brought to her knees by the lover who has left her. The only thing that connects them is the thin wire of the telephone.
The Sunday 29 performances will see all proceeds from the evening donated to Galway Youth Theatre towards its annual programme.
Tickets €12/10 from the Galway Arts Centre, 47 Dominick Street, on 091 - 565886.
