The Old McDonagh’s Building on Merchants Road will have new life breathed into it from today when Blarney Woollen Mills team up with Meadows & Byrne and the Lir Chocolate Café to open in the landmark premises.
This magnificent, historical building will accommodate the heritage and tradition of Blarney beautifully. Blarney Woollen Mills is famous for its range of clothing for men, women and children and will have many special opening offers instore for the launch.
Meadows & Byrne will be located on the first floor with lots of extra space that is sure to delight its many Galway customers. Opening offers include sofas and furniture, Christmas material, and gifts. The café will open in early December.
This move from Lower Abbeygate Street will mean employment for an extra 10 retail staff as well as part time retail and café staff and is a major vote of confidence for Galway.
