Benefit night for the people of Abruzzo, Italy

ON APRIL 6 this year an earthquake struck the Abruzzo region of Italy, leaving many people homeless and uncertain of their future in towns like L’Aquila, and the surrounding villages.

To help the people of L’Aquila, a benefit night concert has been organised and will be held in the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday at 8pm.

A host of musicians have offered their time to make this a great night of entertainment and music, including Sean Tyrrell, The Sumbrellas, John Canny & friends, and John Conneely and Brian Krause.

L’Aquila has a population of 70,000 and about 50,000 of them lost their homes in the earthquake. For many months families have had to live in tents while new houses are being built.

Tickets cost €10 and are available online atwww.roisindubh.net or at the door on the night. The money collected will be donated to the Lucoli Municipality by bank account: IBAN: IT-21-M-07601-03600-000096075981
